NEW YORK — Former U.S. Tennis Association marketing director Kathleen Francis will take over as head of Women in Sports & Events.
The group is a resource for professional women in the sports and events industry. It has 1,000 members in 10 chapters across the country.
Francis will replace board chair and founder Sue Rodin, who started WISE in 1993 and will remain active in the organization.
Francis was managing director of marketing and development at the USTA from 2005 to 2010. She also held senior positions at Major League Baseball and the Meadowlands Sports & Entertainment Complex. She recently founded Oasis Sports Ventures, a marketing and development company for amateur sports programs.
