WISE Within Chapter Committees

Our WISE chapters work tirelessly year-round to deliver a quality, comprehensive mentoring program. Meet the amazing women behind your chapter's WISE Within program.

  • Amanda Carmichael    |   Committee Co-Chair, Los Angeles

Amanda Carmichael was named to the chapter board in 2010 and has served as WISE Within committee co-chair since then. "Fit is one of the most important factors in choosing the right pairings. We take great pride in providing opportunities which might not otherwise be there."

As vice president of professional services at Scoutware, Amanda works directly with over 3,500 coaches and administrators across all divisions helping them get the most out of technology and their communication efforts. Prior to her time at Scoutware, Amanda spent four years as the assistant golf coach and operations director of the men's and women's golf teams at UCLA from 2001-2005. During her time at UCLA, her teams captured 3 Pac-10 team titles and a Women's NCAA Championship in 2004.
  • Emily Nakayama    |   San Franscisco/Bay Area

Emily Nakayama joined the chapter committee in 2011 after only being a member for nearly four months. "In the few short months as a WISE member, I knew that I wanted to find a way to contribute to this organization. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some incredible and inspiring women, and I wanted to help foster the growth of this program, which has done the same for so many other women."

As a marketing coordinator at IMG Tennis, Emily develops and executes marketing strategies for the Bank of the West Classic, a WTA Premier Event held annually at Stanford University. Prior to her current post, she worked nearly seven years in the financial services industry before returning to San Diego State University to receive an MBA in Sports Business.
  • Kathleen Cassino    |   NYC Metro

Kathleen Cassino joined the chapter committee in 2011. "I look forward to working with great people and for the opportunity to be involved with such a great program that supports women in the business world."

As a community affairs & educational programming coordinator for Major League Baseball, Kathleen manages the employee volunteer program, coordinates with creator Sharon Robinson on the Breaking Barriers Program with Scholastic as well as schedules activities with charities and community organizations. Prior to her current post, Kathleen was the Director of Marketing for HOST Communications, MAAC Properties where she oversaw all aspects of the MAAC television broadcasts and was responsible for sponsorship fulfillment, contract negotiations, and Internet and radio exposure. Before joining MAAC Properties, Kathleen worked at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL. There she interned in the public relations and marketing department before becoming a sales coordinator for premiere sports. Kathleen graduated from Pace University with a B.A. in Human Relations and received a Master's in Sport Administration from Canisius College.
  • Kendyl Baugh Moss    |   Committee Chair, Atlanta

    wisewithin@wiseatlanta.org

Kendyl Baugh Moss was named to the chapter board in 2011 after serving as a WISE Within mentor for two years. "I've been very fortunate to have several people provide me with professional and personal support throughout my career. As a member of WISE and specifically working with the WISE Within program, I am excited about making those same kinds of connections and support opportunities available to others."

As director of community relations at the Atlanta Falcons, Kendyl is directly responsible for community initiatives, player outreach, youth football programming and sponsorship and donations. She has held roles in event marketing and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation and was previously the assistant director of the Division I Men's Basketball Championship and NCAA Final Four. Kendyl holds a M.A. in Corporate Communications from DePaul University.

  • Malir Burks    |   NYC Metro

Malir Burks participated as a mentee in 2010 and joined the chapter committee in 2011. "Words cannot express how appreciative I am to have been a part of the WISE Within program. I wanted an adviser, and the program paired me up perfectly with my mentor. It was very encouraging when a senior level person takes an active interest in your career path."

As owner of W.E. Three, an event marketing and design firm focused on corporate events, Malir demonstrates a strong background in sales and event marketing with an emphasis on brand awareness. She previously worked with The Coca-Cola Company, IMG, Octagon and the Leverage Agency. Malir graduated from DePauw University with a BA in Communications and received a Master's degree from Indiana State University in Sports Management.
  • Piper Cook    |   Committee Chair, San Franscisco/Bay Area

Piper Cook was named to the chapter board in 2011 and has served on the committee since 2009. "There is much value to be gained and to give — being a WISE member, WISE Within committee member and Board of Directors member — I'm excited to be involved in the makings and future of this organization!"

As SVP of business development at Sqor Sports, a marketplace for engage-able moments in sports serving fans, athletes, enterprises and brands, Piper is responsible for new business, brand strategy and program development.
