WISE Within 2009-10 Works!
I have had many "unofficial" mentors throughout my short professional career, but have to say that my WISE Within mentor has already made such a profound impact on my life — and I do not know what I would have done without her advice and guidance in the past six months! I am incredibly blessed to have met her, and hope to learn from her for many years to come!
— Kathleen Brown, WISE Within Mentee CHI ‘10
Through WISE Within I have discovered and developed skills and strengths that helped me reach and fulfill my potential.
— Anthony Cecchi, WISE Within Mentee CHI '10
Being a mentor with the WISE mentor program was a great experience for me. I really enjoyed helping my fellow WISE members and sharing my experiences. The great thing about a mentor program is both the mentor and mentee have an equal opportunity to learn.
— Michelle Hill, WISE Within Mentor CLE '10
I believe the WISE Within program is an awesome way for women with a significant amount of time in the sports and events industry to pass on information and ideas to the younger women who are just starting their careers. It's a great way for women to encourage each other as we navigate our way through not only difficult economic conditions, but also is a way to help navigate our way through an industry that is mostly dominated by our male counterparts. To be able to come together and share stories and experiences will only make us better business women and better individuals as a whole. I have been blessed to be in a position of leadership and there is nothing I want more than to pass on the knowledge I have accumulated over my 19 years within both the sports and event industries.

I truly enjoyed my experience as a Mentor for WISE Within and would welcome the opportunity to do it again. I think it was as beneficial for my career growth as it was for my mentee's!
— Kerry Lange, WISE Within Mentor SFO '10
WISE Within has offered me an opportunity for a unique networking experience with another WISE member. I truly benefited from my interactions and meetings with my mentor and look forward to continuing our communications in the future. Thanks WISE!
— Amy Lillibridge, WISE Within Mentee CHI '10
Before this program, I have always wanted a mentor but never really understood how the relationships worked. This program paired me with someone that I had common interests with outside of work and it allow us to obtain a friendship where we helped each other! I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate... otherwise I would have never met my Mentor. Thanks WISE!!!!
— Michanda Myles, WISE Within Mentee ATL ‘10
The WISE Within mentor program is a great opportunity to share experiences (good and bad) in a one-on-one situation. It is a perfect outlet for creating genuine relationships with other event professionals with a common goal — helping each other!
— Sheri Piecuch, WISE Within Mentor CHI ‘10
WISE Within provided a valuable opportunity to step outside my day-to-day management role, and engage with my mentee in a constructive and meaningful way. This is a well-organized program which allows for both mentee and mentor to gain insight and take actionable steps to affect change. I became invested in her career development during the process, and hope to continue our relationship beyond the end of the program.
— Sarah Rees, WISE Within Mentor SFO '10
The WISE WITHIN mentorship program is only as good as the effort you are willing to make to be a good mentor or mentee. Every woman can benefit from being one or the other and the connections can develop into strong friendships beyond the professional realm. Every professional woman needs a safe place to sound off and seek advice and this is a great place to find that.
— Lisa Sands, WISE Within Mentor CLE '10
It is absolutely important for senior or mid-level executives in the sports industry (or any industry) to give back. We were all once in the same position as young professionals trying to enter or recently entering this career field. It is not an easy one to break into and any insight or direction we can provide, I believe, is our responsibility.
